July 1st lesson

Dear students,
Today you will prepare for your final speech on either the 8th or the 15th of July. The rules of Rikkyo University are rather strict so you must not read from a script. You may have notes if you wish, but you should not read. You should make about 18 to 20 slides and talk for at least five minutes.
If you show me your slides, or your outline I can offer advice. One final thing to remember is that you should not copy other sources, from the Internet, for example.
Kind regards,
Chris Elvin

Attendance and active participation

Dear students,
Your attendance in class is important. So is your active participation. Unless you prepare for class properly, by downloading prints, reading and thinking, the activities are not likely to go smoothly.
Please note that the points which are awarded for attendance include participation, so if you have been coming to class unprepared and indifferent, you are not likely to earn a good grade.
Kind regards,
Chris Elvin

June 24th lesson

Dear students,
Today is your last of four 3-minute presentations. Please make sure that you and your team are organized.
If there is any time, you will also start preparation for your final presentation on either July 8th or 15th. Your presentation should focus on a narrow theme within any of the six Rikkyo University topics of communication, education, social issues, environment, technology or values. These final presentations should be at least 5 minutes in length and you should use at least 15 slides in your presentation software.
Kind regards,
Chris Elvin

June 10th lesson

Dear students,
Today you will present about a technology company which you are representing. Your speech should focus only on the technological features that makes your company as good as or better than others. Your slides should be professional and the audience should go away with a good impression about the products and services you provide.
Kind regards,
Chris Elvin
